Women's Cardiovascular Center
at the Cardiovascular Thoracic Institute
What We Do
We are a multidisciplinary team at the Women's Cardiovascular Center comprised of physicians and nurse practioners who aim to provide you with comprehensive cardiac care, such as in preventive cardiology or treating established cardiac disease processes. These include, but are not limited to, hypertension, high cholesterol, valvular disease, coronary artery disease, heart failure, and arrhythmias. Your initial visit with us will include an extensive review of your medical history, a thorough physical exam, and screening for risk factors which can put you at risk for heart disease. Please fill out the questionnaire provided and bring this with you to your clinic appointment.

Comprehensive Diagnostic Testing:
During your clinic appointment with the physician and nurse practioner, the team may order one of more of the examinations below to further evaluate your risk for cardiac disease or assess your current condition:
Coordinated Care:
The University of Southern California has clinical programs in all medical specialties. If you would like to seek medical care in other disciplines, we can provide contact information and a referral to physicians here at USC who work with us closely in delivering specialized health care to women.
Furthermore, we also have educational programs in nutrition and exercise that also constitute important aspects of cardiovascular health.
Research
Here at the Women's Cardiovascular Center, we are not only dedicated to providing high quality health care to the USC community, but to advancing the understanding of cardiovascular disease in women. To this end, research is a priority at these academic medical practices of USC and there are opportunities to be involved with ongoing studies. Patient participation is coordinated through the Cardiovascular Research Unit (CRU). Please inquire with clinic staff.
