Background
Prior to receiving her medical degree, Dr. Van Herle received an MS in Bioengineering from Columbia University as well as a PhD at the University of California San Diego. In 1993, Dr. Van Herle received her MD from the University of California Los Angeles. She then received her Internal Medicine residency training at the New York Medical Center-Cornell University Medical Center. She completed her Cardiology Fellowship at the University of California Los Angeles. Dr. Van Herle comes to us from University of California Los Angeles where she served as Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine since October 2002. She holds an expertise in cardiology consultation for organ transplantation and will serve as the primary point person for this work in Cardiology here at USC.
