Background

Dr. Ronen Goldkorn completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa . He received a merit-based full-tuition scholarship to the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he completed his MD degree graduating Alpha Omega Alpha . During his time in medical school, Dr. Goldkorn was chosen as a Howard Hughes Scholar at the NIH, where he worked with Dr. Francis Collins in basic research. He stayed in New York where he completed his internal medicine residency at the Cornell-New York Hospital, following which he was recruited as a clinical fellow in the Division of Cardiology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. While at Cedars, Dr. Goldkorn trained in both noninvasive and invasive cardiology, and in addition became board certified in nuclear cardiology. After completing his training, he spent a few years in private practice, but has decided to return to academic medicine, where he feels that he can better utilize his teaching skills, research background, and passion for patient care. Dr. Goldkorn is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Nuclear Cardiology.
