Betsy Schafer joined the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in June 2007 and subsequently worked with Dr. Leslie Saxon to establish the Cardiovascular Research Unit in January 2008. She has over 8 years of experience in basic science and clinical research, with a focus in cardiology. In September 2009, Betsy took on the role of Clinical Administrator and is responsible for the daily operations for the Division. She also serves as the Research Administrator for the Cardiovascular Research Unit as well as the Administrative Director for the USC Center for Body Computing. She has a B.S. degree in Biology and an M.S. degree in Regulatory Science.
