George Savage began founding technology-based medical companies in Silicon Valley twenty years ago. He is Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Proteus Biomedical and also Co-Founder and Managing Member of Spring Ridge Ventures. From 1994-1999, George co-founded FemRx and served as a Director and Senior Vice President of Research and Development. During his tenure FemRx completed an IPO and was subsequently acquired by Johnson & Johnson. Previously, George co-founded CardioRhythm and served as a Director and Vice President of Clinical and Regulatory Affairs through its acquisition by Medtronic and subsequent earn-out. He got his start in the medical industry working for Mark Levin at Mayfield Fund, assisting him in founding Cell Genesys, Abgenix and Stem Cells.

George practiced emergency medicine from 1986 - 1992. He now limits his clinical practice to Christian medical work.

George was educated at Stanford University Graduate School of Business (MBA), University of Massachusetts Medical School (residency), Tufts University School of Medicine (MD), and Boston University College of Engineering (BS, Biomedical Engineering). He is named as an inventor on eight US patents and twelve published US patent applications, with more awaiting publication.

George lives in Northern California with his wife and two sons.
