Charles Gildehaus is the founder and Managing Partner of Gildehaus & Company.  Charles brings over 20 years of professional services experience in strategy, finance and law.  He advises leading companies across the high technology sectors on issues ranging from business unit and corporate strategy to large-scale transformation.

Gildehaus & Company is a boutique strategy consulting firm focused on the media, telecommunications, computing and healthcare industries.  The firm's client base includes leading wireline and wireless service providers, cable/MSOs, and mobile and medical device makers in North America, Europe and Asia.  The firm works with industry leaders such as AT&T, Verizon, Comcast, Time Warner, Samsung, Motorola and Boston Scientific.

Charles also serves on the Samsung's Global Advisory Board, charged with advising Samsung executive leadership team on key global trends in convergence and wireless technologies.

Recently, Charles has done extensive work with leading service providers, device makers, and media players seeking to capitalize on the growing convergence across telecommunications, media, the Internet, and healthcare.  He has been working closely with senior management teams to identify emerging opportunities as wireless and broadband technologies enable end-users to communicate, socialize, work, entertain, and manage their health in new ways.  In this area, he has led the development of the Core Needs Framework to assist clients implement customer-centric approaches to product innovation, latent demand analysis, market segmentation, and long-term differentiation strategies.

Charles is a recognized expert in system dynamics and has led pioneering work in its application to solve complex operational and strategic problems.  Charles has also launched and serves on the board of several successful start-ups in the mobile sector.

Prior to founding Gildehaus & Company, Charles was the CEO of Mercator Partners, and prior to that Charles spent ten years working on Wall Street for a leading investment bank and law firm structuring and executing mergers, acquisitions and the issuance of equity and debt capital.

He holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law, and Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College.

Charles lives in Concord, MA with his wife Pamela and three children.
